- Aguila Records, Inc., v. Nueva Generaćion Music Group, 2009 WL 3719422 (N.D.Ill.). Mr. Provenzale was successful in obtaining an injunction for his client Aguila Records to protect the its trademark and copyrights in the band Alacranes Musical, a Latin Grammy ® winning music group., WL 3719422 (N.D.Ill. 2009)
- Shales v. Teamsters’ Local 330, 557 F.3d 746 (7th Cir. 2009). A ruling of first impression at the time, a Federal Appeals Court decision affirmed the imposition of about $80,000 in sanctions against the attorney for Shales for conduct violating a federal rule and statute prohibiting frivolous filings and improper conduct. (7th Cir. 2009)
- Doe v. Hinsdale Twp. High School Dist. 86, 388 Ill.App.3d 995 (2nd Dist. 2009). A matter of first impression, Mr. Provenzale successfully obtained appellate reversal of the dismissal of his client’s claims against a school district for sexual abuse by a teacher, finding that the Illinois Tort Immunity Act limitation period was not applicable to actions based upon childhood sexual abuse., 388 Ill.App.3d 995 (2nd Dist. 2009)
